WestJet Restarting Routes Across Canada

WestJet announced that it is beginning to reconnect routes across the entire country beginning immediately.

Atlantic Canada

Atlantic Canada’s domestic and interprovincial connectivity will restart with eight routes to and from destinations across Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

WestJet will restart seven routes across Atlantic Canada before July 2. The airline is set to restore commercial air service to Sydney, N.S., Deer Lake and Gander, Nfld., with the restart of flights from Halifax and Toronto.

The airline also announced it will launch its new non-stop service to Charlottetown from Calgary on July 29.

WestJet will also bridge new domestic connections between the east and the west with the introduction of new twice-weekly non-stop service between Charlottetown, P.E.I., and Calgary beginning July 29. The service connecting the two provinces was previously scheduled to start in June 2020.

This July, WestJet will offer non-stop service to Atlantic Canada from Halifax to six cities, from St. John’s to three cities, from Charlottetown to two cities and from Moncton, Fredericton, Deer Lake, Gander and Sydney to one city.

Saskatchewan

In Saskatchewan, five routes to and from destinations across Alberta and British Columbia from Saskatoon and Regina will be restored, or inaugurated.

By the end of June the airline will begin its new non-stop flights from Saskatoon to Kelowna and Victoria.

This July, WestJet will offer non-stop service from Saskatoon to seven cities and five cities from Regina.

Alberta

WestJet is restoring Alberta’s domestic and interprovincial connectivity with the restart of 10 routes to and from destinations across British Columbia, the Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Nova Scotia from Calgary, Edmonton and Medicine Hat. The airline will also start operation of three new routes to and from Edmonton and begin non-stop service between Calgary and Charlottetown. This July, WestJet will offer non-stop service from Calgary to 42 cities and from Edmonton to 16 cities.

Ontario

WestJet is restoring Ontario’s domestic and interprovincial connectivity with the restart of nine routes to and from destinations across Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador by June 30, 2021. The airline is also set to inaugurate two new routes from Toronto and Ottawa to Comox and Victoria. Full schedule details and resumption dates are outlined below.

By the end of June, WestJet is set to resume commercial air service to Windsor with the restart of non-stop Calgary service and restore flights to Deer Lake from Toronto.

This July, WestJet will offer non-stop service from Toronto to 26 cities, from Ottawa to five cities, from London to two cities and serve one city from Hamilton and Windsor.

British Columbia

WestJet is further restoring British Columbia’s domestic and interprovincial connectivity with the restart of eight routes to and from destinations across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. The airline is also set to inaugurate 10 new routes by July 5, 2021.

By the end of June, the airline is set to inaugurate new flights between Abbotsford and Prince George and restore WestJet Link service between Vancouver and Cranbrook.

This July, WestJet will offer non-stop service from Vancouver to 18 cities, from Victoria to eight cities, from Kelowna to seven cities, from Comox to four cities and from Nanaimo to three cities. From the communities of Kamloops, Penticton and Prince George, the airline will connect to two communities non-stop.
